Old Music Festival “Dusting Musical Instruments off the Shelf”
06.04.2024
An Old Music Festival Saturday will take place on the 6th and 7th of April 2024 in the reception hall of the Museum of Byzantine Culture, a journey through the Renaissance and Baroque eras, through which we will get to know musical instruments that today they have ceased to be widely used.
The Festival includes four concerts, each focusing on one or more early music instruments. Some of these are the baroque flute (traverso), early clarinet (chalumeau), baroque trombone (sackbut), cello piccolo and instruments of the lute family. The artists will frame the concerts with historical data about the instruments and performance practice of that time.
Concerts start at 7.00 p.m. with free entry.
