Fragment of a glazed bowl with the figure of St Demetrios
Fragment of a bowl on the interior surface of which is a depiction of the figure of St Demetrios next to a tree. The vase was probably connected with the ayiasma (source of holy water). The motif is rendered mainly in fine sgraffito on a white slip. The glaze of the bowl is a light yellow colour with green brushtrokes. According to the stylistic features it can be assigned to a Thessaloniki ceramic workshop.
