The Museum of Byzantine Culture invites you cordially to the presentation of the new production of the Music School of Thessaloniki, titled “Youth Creations 2016-2017”, on Friday, 10 November 2017, at 19.30 in the amphitheatre “Stephanos Dragoumis”.
Students of the School will present and perform their award-winning compositions which led to the creation of a CD, titled “Youth Creations 2016-17”. The event is co-organized by the Museum of Byzantine Culture, the Office of Cultural Affairs in the Directorate of Secondary Education of Eastern Thessaloniki and the Parents’ Association of the School.
The new production of the Music School of Thessaloniki is a result of a cultural program, created by students of the 1st and 2nd class of the Lyceum of the School under the guidance of their teacher Evangelia Mitsopoulou.
Students composed and interpreted their own songs, during the school year 2016-17, which were awarded in student competitions. Recordings took place in February, April and June 2017 in the studio of the University of Macedonia. The audio, processing and mastering of the CD was made by Photis Sakalis and the design of the leaflet by Christos Dittopoulos. The photos are snapshots of the recordings in the studio of the University of Macedonia and were taken by the student Evgenia Skolidi (1st class of the Lyceum).
The presentation is prefaced by: Christos Samaras, professor of Composition in the Department of Music Studies, A.U.Th., Dr. Antonios Konstantinidis, Head of the Cultural Affairs Office in the Secondary Education Directorate of Eastern Thessaloniki and Panagiota Tsoka, teacher of piano in the Music School of Thessaloniki-composer. The event is presented by Dr. Evangelia Mitsopoulou, teacher of piano in the Music School of Thessaloniki.
